    Call For Session Proposals

    ACSCD is looking forward to receiving your abstracts for the 2021 African Congress on Sickle Cell Disease to be held in Virtually, from 25 - 29 May 2021.

    The deadline for submissions is Friday 19 March 2021 at 23:59 WAT.

    Please ensure that you have read the guidelines which will help you submit a quality proposal for the 2021 African Congress on Sickle Cell Disease.

    NB: Please note that incomplete forms cannot be saved.

    ACSCD will give a preference to proposed sessions that include the following:

    • Identified session’s learning objectives, aim and purpose

    • Emphasis on interaction 

    • Innovative thinking in line with the congress theme “Working to Overcome Sickle Cell Disease - What Next?”, as well as one of the program tracks

    • Materials that may be used by the audience

    • Topics of regional and global interest 

    • Cross-sector or cross-country or cross-organisation proposals

The Session Organizer is responsible for informing the Speakers/Panelist about the status of the proposal/session. The Session Chair may request to be copied on proposal correspondence.

    7. The Congress Organizers reserve the right to remove from publication and/or presentation any proposed session which does not comply with the above.

    8. I understand that I must select a specific Theme track, Topic and/or Sub-Topic for my proposed session allocation. Although the Committee will work hard to honor this selection, this cannot be guaranteed. The Committee reserves the right to change the Theme track, Topic or Sub-Topic under which the proposal was originally submitted.
